Preventive care for dogs and cats
Pets are good at hiding discomfort. A regular checkup is how we catch small changes before they turn into big, expensive problems.
Step 1Choose your hospital

What a yearly visit covers
- A nose-to-tail exam: skin, eyes, ears, teeth, heart, lungs, abdomen, and joints
- Vaccines chosen for your pet's age, health, and lifestyle
- Heartworm testing, followed by year-round prevention
- Fecal testing for intestinal parasites such as roundworms, hookworms, whipworms, giardia, and coccidia
- A quick look at the mouth, plus a conversation about diet, behavior, and anything you've noticed
How often to come in
Healthy adult pets do well with a yearly exam. Puppies and kittens come more often while they finish their vaccine series. Senior pets usually benefit from a visit every six months, because their health can change quickly.
Extras that make visits easier
- Laser therapy alongside conventional care, at all four hospitals
- Nail trims, ear cleaning, and anal gland expression
- Coaching on giving medication, trimming nails, and brushing teeth at home
- An in-house pharmacy for common prescriptions, heartworm, flea, and tick preventives, and prescription diets
Common questions
Does a healthy-looking pet really need a yearly exam?
Yes. Animals instinctively mask pain and weakness, so a pet that seems fine can still have early disease. A yearly exam catches changes while treatment is simpler.
My pet takes heartworm prevention. Why test too?
Prevention only works if every dose is given on time. A yearly test confirms your pet is protected, and it's a safeguard if a dose was missed.
Can I pick up medication at my appointment?
Yes. Our pharmacy can fill common prescriptions during your visit, so you can start treatment right away.
